An exciting new firm coming to market in 2018 – they are spearheaded by their CEO/CIO who has a phenomenal track record building highly concentrated global equity portfolios. He has worked for the highest profile Investment Managers in Sydney and London over a 20+ year career. As a very well capitalised start up they will have an evolved corporate structure in play when they open their doors.
As an Investment Analyst you will report to the CEO/CIO and be responsible for analysis of listed stocks on a range of Global indices. With a clear process they have a quality bias and will typically invest in sustainable businesses with clear strategy.
From your in-depth fundamental bottom up DCF research combined with qualitative measures, you will provide investment ideas to the Investment Committee for new inclusions to the portfolios as well as assist the CEO maintaining existing views on portfolio stocks.
Responsibility for analysis of allocated stocks
Use a range of sources and your initiative to generate as much quality information in order to formulate views on your stocks.
Keep up to date and maintain your knowledge of portoflio
Prepare regular reports/commentaries on assigned stocks
Effectively communicate your views to I.C. via all forms of communication
Skills & Experience
A genuine passion for investing is the primary pre-requisite. We need to see a strong personal investment or prior related work experience within the stock markets. If you do not have a keen interest in stocks – no need to apply!
Undergraduate Degree accompanied with advancement towards post grad studies (ie CFA, MAF)
1-5 years of relevant corporate experience
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
A strong desire to succeed, be an integral part of a high performing team and have passion about driving innovation and performance in this industry
