Founded only 5 years ago, this professional services firm that has exploded in size, growing from just one initial office and a handful of staff to now having 100+ employees and 10 offices across the country and with no intention of slowing. Having grown to now offer a full suite of professional services including Financial Planning, Tax and Accounting and Finance, the ongoing acquisition of practices has led to appoint a new role of Legal Secretary.
The role in its initial form will largely be a Legal Secretary position but with a hands-on task of screening and reviewing Acquisition Contracts. In time, it may take more of a paralegal/legal analyst slant depending on the incumbent aspirations and competencies. The incumbent will be expected to create frameworks and processes around the best practice of screening contracts, ensuring accuracy and where appropriate, providing additional commentary or flagging key aspects accordingly to the Executive team. Although able to work with a relative autonomy the incumbent will foster a strong relationship with the Executive team as well as the nominated Legal Representatives.
Skills and Experience
Open to full time or part time applicants, the incumbent maybe a relatively junior Legal Secretary looking for a role in which to grow or it maybe a career legal secretary simply looking for a change such as increased flexibility and autonomy. The incumbent will have the following:
- Minimum 2+ years as a Legal Secretary (ideally working within a Contract Law / M&A environment)
- Strong attention to detail, autonomous and pro-active in nature and relishes a high energy/fast paced environment
- Completed or progressing a degree/qualifications in Law would be an advantage given the scope for this role to evolve and grow.
- Open to full time AND part time applicants
