Due to the expansion of work volumes across the claims department and the creation of a new team due to a successful tender process, they are now looking to appoint capable a Senior Claims Assessor.
As a Senior Claims Assessor, you will be tasked with the responsibly of implementing new procedures and help improve current process’s. You will be the point of contact and referral for all escalations and complex claims matters as well as support operations management with all technical matters. There is a heavy emphasis on coaching and developing associate claims assessors as well as contribute to training programs put in place for existing assessors.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you will need to have current or recent experience within the life insurance space as a senior claims assessor or have substantial experience in end to end Claims Assessing within Life Insurance. You will be able to effectively handle the assessment of claims from start to finish, have a strong understanding of medical terminology and have the ability to make important and final decisions. Strong communication skills and effective time management are also crucial to this role as you will be a mentor for existing staff as well as new assessors joining the team.
